Center Activities
The Jazz & Heritage Center will host a variety of programs, each designed to support our creative community and keep our cultural economy vibrant and strong. Many of these programs have been run for years by the Jazz & Heritage Foundation. Hosted in classrooms and venues across the city, they will enjoy a permanent home in the Jazz & Heritage Center. These include:
- Don Jamison Heritage School of Music, est. 1990
- Jazz Journey concert series, est. 1995
- Tom Dent Congo Square lecture series, est. 1987
- Sync Up conference, est. 2007
In addition to these existing programs, the Foundation will be able to offer community classes and a year-round calendar of performing arts events. The multi-purpose space will provide endless opportunities for expanded programming!
